ATTORNEY Juan Carlos Rodriguez

 

Juan Carlos Rodriguez is a Board Certified Immigration Attorney by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  Juan Carlos proudly graduated summa cum laude from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas in 1998 and cum laude from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2001.  He has been practicing immigration law since 2001, and he is an eager advocate for his clients.

Prior to joining Garcia & Block PLLC, Juan Carlos was a partner in the law firm of DeMott, McChesney, Curtright, & Armendariz, LLP where he spent a decade representing hundreds of clients before the Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (“USCIS”).

In 2001, Juan Carlos began his career as a federal immigration attorney with an appointment to the Attorney General’s Honors Program with the then Immigration & Naturalization Service (INS) in Miami, Florida in September 2001.  Later, he transferred to San Antonio, Texas, and was a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  Juan Carlos then served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas where he prosecuted various immigration-related criminal offenses along with numerous gun and drug-trafficking crimes on behalf of the Department of Justice.

A proud native of West Texas, Juan Carlos prides himself on being a straight-talker and dealing fairly with clients.  Juan Carlos is also a relentless advocate who prides himself on finding solutions for clients with difficult cases.  No matter the background or criminal history, Juan Carlos is adept at evaluating cases to determine the best course of action.
